The Naga Report 023 // 2026-10-27 // day 1707 of the war // threat level SEVERE. Coverage: 24h to 08:00 Kyiv, 27 Oct 2026, data cut 08:00 Kyiv.

Threat level SEVERE. Zelensky counted 16 ballistic missiles alongside more than 280 drones, hits landed at 25 locations, Kyiv's South Bridge and its metro line were damaged, Ukrainian authorities report at least 4 killed and 55 injured, as compiled by the Kyiv Independent, with Kharkiv Oblast reporting 3 more dead, and new power outages hit 7 oblasts [1][2][3][4][5][6].

Bottom line

1. Kyiv took two ballistic waves inside 12 hours: late on Monday 26 Oct missiles hit the Desnianskyi district around a university campus and a body was found in a damaged building in Dniprovskyi, with the emergency service putting the city toll at 1 killed and 15 injured; overnight strikes damaged the South Bridge and its metro line [8][4][3].

2. The Air Force reports 280 Shahed-type drones, 69 of them jet-powered, plus Gerbera and decoy drones and Iskander-M and S-400 ballistic missiles; it says 257 targets were downed or suppressed, but only 2 of them were ballistic, and gives no launch count for the missiles [2].

3. The national toll is spread thin across the front-line oblasts: Donetsk reports 3 killed and 22 injured, Kharkiv Oblast 3 killed and 8 injured, and energy outages hit 7 oblasts on Tuesday morning [9][5][6].

4. On the ground, the only DeepState update found in the window marked a Russian advance near Svitle south of Dobropillia, and ISW confirmed a Russian infiltration into northern Kostiantynivka; no Ukrainian gain was confirmed [10][11].

5. A localized ceasefire in occupied Oleshky took effect at 03:00 Kyiv on 27 Oct, announced by Ukraine's ombudsman Lubinets and the Russian Defence Ministry; it is a humanitarian pause to let an aid mission in, not part of a wider truce [12][13].
